About

Finishing a Master of IT at UNE (GPA 7/7, 12 HDs from 12 units) and have a training app live on the App Store. Picking up new languages, frameworks, and tools is the part of this job I enjoy most.

Path

Earlier studies in game development and sound production led to a couple of short international tours (Tahiti and New Zealand) as a sound engineer with Te Vaka, the musicians behind Disney's Moana film score. After that came media QC and broadcast operations at Chief Entertainment, switching live racing feeds and delivering encoded streams under real-time deadlines, then a stint as a disability support worker before founding Care Culture.

I like building things and I like fixing things. Game development studies gave me a base in C++ and Python, and running Care Culture gave me a steady supply of real problems to solve.

Outside of work I run Omarchy (Arch Linux) as my daily driver and a self-hosted server on OpenMediaVault with a handful of Docker services, mostly because I like understanding the full stack from the machine up. Homelabbing is one of the best ways I've found to keep learning.
